DSOGaming Names the Worst Optimized PC Games of 2025 — MindsEye Isn’t Included for a Good Reason
The latest Monster Hunter entry isn’t the only title struggling with technical polish.
Following their recent breakdown of the most well-optimized PC titles of 2025, the editorial team at DSOGaming has turned their attention to the year’s most disappointing technical performers. Journalists have singled out the releases that left players frustrated by poor optimization and lackluster stability.
The most poorly optimized PC games of 2025 (according to DSOGaming):
- 7) Rise of the Ronin
- 6) Keeper (developed by Double Fine)
- 5) The Outer Worlds 2
- 4) Borderlands 4
- 3) Monster Hunter Wilds
- 2) Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
- 1) The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
DSOGaming opted to exclude MindsEye from this list. While the title suffered from a rocky launch, the developers at Build A Rocket Boy have since “delivered substantial performance improvements” through post-release updates.
Similarly, Echoes of the End was spared a spot in the ranking. The development team successfully mitigated the aggressive micro-stuttering that plagued the game at launch, and it now “runs more fluidly than a significant portion of other Unreal Engine 5 titles.”
