In a state as visually striking as South Dakota, these moments of downtime are enhanced by the magnificent vistas that define the region. Since maintaining safety and adhering to rest regulations is paramount, these stops provide the perfect atmosphere to recharge your batteries before heading back out onto the asphalt.
Several of these facilities will greet you almost immediately as you cross the state line. For those hauling freight from Sioux City, Iowa, via I-29, an inviting rest area sits ready for a pre-trip inspection before you journey north. Alternatively, truckers entering the Mount Rushmore State from Nebraska will find a well-positioned stop just across the Missouri River in the community of Yankton.
We also have a special treat for our dedicated community. We know many of you have been curious about a certain landmark, and we are happy to confirm the inclusion of the Alzada truck stop. This iconic waypoint serves drivers traveling the scenic route between Montana and South Dakota.
