MUTE has introduced a brand new field set amassing over 50 artists’ interpretations of John Cage’s 4’33”—sure, the experimental composer’s four-and-a-half-minute composition that instructs the performers to not play their devices. The assortment, titled STUMM433, is out in May 2019. It options Depeche Mode, New Order, Goldfrapp, Ok Á R Y Y N, Wire, the Afghan Whigs, Ben Frost, Lee Ranaldo, Moby, and extra. Each artist’s piece will arrive with a visible.
