Deceptive Six” on Steam

Tez2 noticed (tweet already deleted) that in the largest digital store some unreleased “game” began to mimic under GTA 6 and other expected hits.

The original name of Fantasy of Medieval was changed to Grand Theft Auto VI, and the name of the developers (Global Development) was changed to Rockstar Games. The release date was set for May 10th. Later, the pranksters changed a few more “faces”, calling themselves Counter Strike 2 from Valve and Skull and Bones from Ubisoft. Steam “product” page has already been deleted (now leads to the Main), and a detailed history of the logs can be see here.

It is not known who is behind this and what was the motive for such forgeries. Perhaps an attempt at black PR for a future release, perhaps a banal desire to frolic. Either way, be wary of potential repercussions like clickbait headlines.
