Courteney Cox & Coco Arquette Did a Killer Cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘Cardigan’ For Mother’s Day: Watch

Courteney Cox gave fans the ultimate Mother’s Day gift with her 16-year-old daughter, Coco Arquette, on Sunday (May 9). With the actress on piano and frequent musical companion Joel Taylor strumming an acoustic guitar, Coco crooned Taylor Swift’s “Cardigan” as Cox looked on with pride, her eyes filled with love.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all those out there who are mothers, have been mothers, will be mothers, or love like mothers,” Cox wrote in an Instagram post of her daughter’s performance. She shares Coco with ex-husband David Arquette.

Celebs who saw the clip Cox posted were impressed. Singer Natasha Bedingfield commented, “I love how your looking at her. So much love in that look.” Reese Witherspoon was floored as well, writing, “Ahhhh- mazing!! Go @cocoarquette_ !”

Cox has been busy during the pandemic, during which she’s posted a series of moving and surprising at-home covers, including Olivia Rodrigo’s smash “Drivers License.” That take joined a number of other clips the actress has shared with fans over the past year, including a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs” with Taylor and Coco in October, as well as a piano take on Harry Styles’ “Sunflower, Vol. 6” in January and The Five Stairsteps’ “O-o-h Child” last summer.

Cox’s dreams recently came true when she got to accompany Brandi Carlile on a run through the Grammy-winner’s “The Joke.” Not for nothing, she also tickled the ivories like a champ for a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Holy” last month. The T. Swift cover was not the first time Cox has spotlighted Coco’s pipes, as the two teamed up for a a cute mother-daughter take on Demi Lovato’s “Anyone” last March.
