The group behind Command & Conquer Remastered has given us a preview of some new, revamped artwork.
In a Reddit post, producer Jim Vessella shared a high-resolution render of the Construction Yard in Command & Conquer, because it seems within the remaster.
The look is deliberate, as Vessella notes it wanted to be as genuine to the unique in-game asset as potential. But, as you’ll be able to in see within the blue-tinted door, some particulars will probably be pulled from the unique cinematic asset if it means enhancing the look.
“It’s worth calling out that if there’s a conflict between the in-game asset, cinematic asset, or UI portrait, we’re always going to side with the in-game asset,” wrote Vessella.
As for growth progress, the EA producer mentioned the undertaking is approaching the top of the pre-production part, with the group now engaged on getting multiplayer working.
“During March we delivered our first playable campaign mission (GDI Mission 1), which included multiple samples of the remastered art running at 4k. This was accompanied by a more complete Visual Target image, which helps the development team align around our goals for the artistic fidelity,” they revealed.
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, and Command & Conquer: Red Alert are currently in development at Petroglyph Games, and Lemon Sky Studios, however no launch targets had been shared.
