CNCOwners React to Joel Pimentel Leaving CNCO: ‘Can’t Believe It’

On Mother’s Day (May 9), CNCO announced that member Joel Pimentel is leaving the group, and that his last day would be on their upcoming virtual concert.

“After five and a half unforgettable and life-changing years together, Friday, May 14th, will be Joel’s last day as a member of CNCO,” read the official statement.

On his Instagram account, the Mexican-American artist expressed that he’s ready to grow and explore new artistic avenues. “It’s time to start building my own path and career. This is why I’ve decided to leave the band,” he wrote. “I can’t wait to share my new project with y’all. This is just a new beginning.”

The remaining group members — Christopher Velez, Erick Brian Colon, Richard Camacho, and Zabdiel de Jesus — are excited about CNCO’s new era.

“We want you all to know that while Joel is leaving and will be pursuing new opportunities, we are and will always be brothers. We support him in his next chapter, and will always, most importantly, remain a family,” the letter emphasized.

Meanwhile, loyal CNCOwners have reacted on Twitter. See some reactions below.
