Universal Pictures is reportedly in the early stages of developing a feature-length biopic centered on the legendary rock group Bon Jovi.
Fronted by Jon Bon Jovi since their formation in 1983, the band became a global phenomenon with anthems like “It’s My Life” and “Livin’ on a Prayer.” Their massive influence on the music industry was officially recognized with their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The screenplay has been penned by rising writer Cody Brotter. While the director and lead cast members have yet to be revealed, the project follows Universal’s growing interest in musical legacies; the studio is also preparing to release “Michael,” a look at the life and career of Michael Jackson, this April.
