Bloodlines 2 players won’t lose hours of progress anymore — new feature and improvement roadmap introduced

The launch of Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 was far from smooth, but the developers are steadily addressing the issues.

The Chinese Room has already released several updates for Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 and plans to continue support. The team recently deployed patch 1.0.4 and published a roadmap.

Patch 1.0.5 is scheduled for this year; it will introduce an FOV (field of view) slider, adjustable depth of field, and improvements to the save system.

Additionally, a “winter update” is in development — bringing themed cosmetic content and customizable difficulty settings.

Some of the bugs that were fixed include:

  • Previously the game sometimes failed to save progress when returning to the main menu or quitting, risking hours of lost hub progress — a new save mechanism has been added. When exiting to the main menu or selecting “Quit Game,” autosaves will now update to capture progress for collectibles, Blood Resonance, and ability points.
  • Fixed an issue where the player could become stuck inside an elevator.
  • Resolved problems with conversations and on-screen hints.
  • Enemies should no longer become lodged in environmental objects during certain combat encounters.
  • The “Pureblood Elder” achievement, awarded for collecting all other achievements, should now unlock correctly.
