Holiday Grind: EA Releases a Battlefield 6 Battle Pass That Is Nearly Impossible to Complete Without Paying
It is a choice between festive family traditions or the relentless grind of Battlefield.
Battlefield 6 has experienced a period of relative silence lately. Since the rollout of the Winter Offensive event prior to the Christmas break, substantial updates have been few and far between. However, the recent debut of the “BF Pro” battle pass—exclusive to Battlefield Pro subscribers—has ignited a wave of frustration across the player base.
This limited-time battle pass is active for only seven days, a window that feels excessively demanding for the tail end of the holiday season. Compounding the issue are widespread reports from players claiming the pass is plagued by technical glitches and fails to function as intended.
Those who reach the final tier can unlock “The Desert Locusts,” a fresh skin for the Assault class, along with several minor cosmetic rewards and a pair of equipment XP boosters.
To complete the progression in just one week, players are forced to either commit to near-constant play sessions or focus heavily on weekly challenges that provide bonus tokens. However, the condensed schedule only allows for a single week of challenges, which barely covers four tiers. Many fans are labeling this a design oversight and are calling for an extension to allow for a more reasonable path to completion.
