Licensing agreements for video game franchises are rarely permanent. When publishers opt not to renew these contracts, titles inevitably vanish from digital shelves. Soon, Transformers: Battlegrounds and several other notable games will be delisted for good.

As December draws to a close, a number of developers have issued reminders that several of their projects will no longer be available for purchase on digital storefronts starting next year.

For instance, Outright Games, a publisher known for its prolific output of licensed titles, is preparing to retire several games from digital sale:

  • Transformers: Battlegrounds — a turn-based tactical experience set within the iconic Transformers universe.
  • The Addams Family: Mansion Mayhem — a spooky 3D adventure featuring the beloved macabre family.
  • Blaze and the Monster Machines: Axle City Racers — a high-speed racing game based on the hit animated series.
  • JoJo Siwa: Worldwide Party — a rhythm-based adventure following the famous pop star and dancer.

Furthermore, the creators of River City Ransom: Underground have unexpectedly cleared their Steam page and announced that their retro-inspired beat-’em-up is slated for removal from the platform shortly.

Limited Run Games is also planning to delist the Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection—a nostalgic compilation of titles based on the legendary dinosaur franchise.
