Witcher 3 Voice Actor Discusses Returning to Record for Expansion
Returning to voice Geralt of Rivia after 20 years feels like stepping into a warm bath, according to English voice actor Doug Cockle.
Cockle has voiced Geralt since the first game in the series and returned to the role for the third expansion for The Witcher 3, titled “Ballads of the Past”.
In an interview, the actor shared his thoughts on the experience:
Getting back into character as Geralt is always exciting. He is a character I know very, very well, so returning to this role is always a pleasure. That was also the case with “Ballads of the Past”.
I always describe it as stepping into a warm bath. It is just very comfortable and very easy.

Cockle stated that he is ready to voice Geralt for as long as CD Projekt Red wants to work with him. English Dandelion voice actor John Schwab also returned to his role with enthusiasm.
“Ballads of the Past” will release in 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
