Bayonetta developer Platinum Games has raised hopes amongst Switch homeowners by releasing a picture that might be construed as a tease.
Posting on a newly established Japanese-language Twitter channel, the studio directed followers to its varied social media presences and included a picture of Bayonetta as she seems in each the eponymous video games to date.
The picture is split into two sections, one pink and one blue. While the Bayonetta emblem on the primary sport is pink however blue on the second, the shades chosen are way more paying homage to the Switch’s default JoyCon colouring.
Coincidence – or a deliberate trace? Since Bayonetta 2 was a Wii U unique funded by Nintendo and the sequence has vital cult attraction, it could make a variety of sense for each video games to be re-released for Switch. We know Nintendo’s fairly eager on the IP, since Bayonetta was added to Super Smash Bros.
Social media has been very busy because the tweet first appeared with Bayonetta followers swearing up and down that they’ll purchase the unique sport a 3rd and even fourth time, so optimistically Nintendo and Platinum will make Bayonetta Switch occur. If it sells nicely, who is aware of what may occur? We do know Platinum is talking about Bayonetta 3 internally, although.
The first Bayonetta launched in 2009 for PS3 and Xbox 360 and was essentially the most profitable product of a multi-game deal between Platinum and Sega. It was later re-released for Wii U alongside the sequel and even PC; the Steam release of Bayoneta has sold over 100,000 units.
Sequel Bayonetta 2 adopted in 2014, and has not been ported past the Wii U.
