Mark Gemini Thwaite, who’s enjoying guitar on the tour and recurrently performs with Murphy, shared an announcement with Pitchfork concerning the incident. “I’m fine, and the band is fine, Peter’s fine,” he wrote. “No arrests were made despite the press reports. It was venue security involved, not cops, as people assumed. He was just sent to the hotel, as he was drunk.”

Murphy is at present on tour with former Bauhaus bandmate David J. They are performing Bauhaus’ debut album In the Flat Field in celebration of the band’s 40th anniversary.
