Arc Raiders Lowers Expedition Requirement to 3 Million Coins and Introduces Skill Point Catch-Up

In practical terms, a 3-million-coin stash serves as the baseline for earning five new skill points. For players looking to maximize their progression via the catch-up system, accruing an additional 1.5 million coins could potentially unlock a total of 10 skill points during this single event.

Embark clarified that a total of 85 skill points is achievable for veterans returning for their second Expedition. A community manager on the Arc Raiders Discord further specified that the catch-up option is exclusive to those who participated in the first event. This represents a substantial 70% discount compared to the previous cost of 1 million coins per point.

While this window offers relief, the developers emphasized that these conditions are not permanent. Future Expedition requirements and rewards are subject to change, and the opportunity to catch up on missed skill points will not be available indefinitely.

Other Expedition benefits remain consistent with previous iterations. Participants will receive 12 additional stash slots, a 5% experience boost, a 6% increase in Scrappy material yields, and a 10% bonus to repair value. These percentage-based buffs are additive and apply regardless of whether this is a player’s first or second outing.

Cosmetic rewards are also receiving updates. The exclusive Patchwork outfit is being expanded with more customization depth, and new Scrappy-themed cosmetics will be introduced. Additionally, the Expedition Indicator will reflect the player’s history, upgrading with every successful completion.

Importantly, Embark noted the distinction between permanent and temporary unlocks. While stash expansion, skill points, and cosmetic items are kept permanently, the active gameplay boosts—XP, materials, and repairs—will reset for any player who chooses not to participate in subsequent Expeditions.

In related news, Arc Raiders is intensifying its anti-cheat efforts by disabling Steam Family Sharing workarounds. This move is designed to prevent the exploitation of shared licenses and ensure that banned players cannot easily circumvent their restrictions.
