Another Existence of the Spiritual Successor to L.A. Noire Debunked Yesterday at 23:51 OPla G390

Over the weekend, Australians stirred up the gaming community. A certain Freyja Garbett (Freyja Garbett) announced (the post has since been deleted) that she is working on music for a new video game from the studio Video Games Deluxe, which consists of former Team Bondi employees, the creators of L.A. Noire. The upcoming project is allegedly a psychological thriller called Sowden House (presumably after the famous residence), and is set once again in 1940s Los Angeles.

The next day, representatives from VGD responded, stating:

We work exclusively with Rockstar. We commissioned music from a local composer for a VR project years ago. It was based on the cases from L.A. Noire that did not make it into the final version and was more of a working demo than anything substantial. We are not sure if it will ever be completed and see the light of day, but we decided to finish the commission to support the local composer.

Indeed, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files included far fewer cases than the original game (7 out of 26). But was there a point in creating a new soundtrack when one already exists? And where did the artist get such detailed information about the new game? This could be fabricated information provided by the client to create the desired atmosphere. As we know, Video Games Deluxe is indeed working on their next project, also for Rockstar Games, but it is more likely to be the VR version of GTA: San Andreas Schrödinger.
