Among the games announced during the PlayStation Plus program for the month of February 2021, it is undoubtedly Destruction AllStars that stood out. The reason is simple: the game will be released at the same time as the free games of the month, the idea for Sony Interactive Entertainment being to offer it the force of PlayStation Plus and therefore a nice launching pad. Also, to accompany this great announcement, a 7-minute video of pure gameplay has been published in order to better understand its concept. From a distance, one could think of a revisit of the Destruction Derby series with vehicles in arenas which must chain a maximum of crumpled sheet. Some will evoke Twisted Metal also for the more sassy side, but in reality, the title developed by Lucid Games and Wushu Studios reveals that it will also be to continue to compete outside of its vehicle.
No less than 16 characters await us in the game, with special abilities and others more common such as double-jump, wall-run, dodge or even the possibility of carjacking his opponents while driving. The idea behind the concept is to offer the same percentage of survival on foot as when driving a vehicle, knowing that it is possible to enter any machine to continue the fight. Of course, you feel more secure in the cabin of your vehicle, but each of them has different specificities. There are machines based on speed, others on the ability to take punches and finally, those that are best handled. Several game modes have been imagined by the developers to vary the situations. Remember that Destruction AllStars will be available from February 2, only on PS5.
