Before the Game Awards, rumours have been swirling a few new game referred to as Alien: Blackout. Turns out it was actual.

Rather than being a sequel to Alien Isolation, it was reported to be a squad-based shooter of some kind. It sounded a bit like Destiny, however Alien. Good information: it’s not that. More excellent news: Amanda Ripley is again. Bad information: it’s a cellular game.

Now, we ‘re not averse to mobile games over here at VG247. We like playing games on the move. But it does suck a bit that this isn’t a correct observe as much as the superb Alien Isolation.

Alien: Blackout is a survival horror cellular game that has you discover a Weyland-Yutani area station whereas avoiding xenomorphs. It’s coming to iOS and Android and is developed by FoxNext Games, D3 Go!, and Rival Games, as reported by Variety.
