Fortnite’s usual weekly challenges are getting a festive shake-up. Rather than give you seven challenges to complete in a week, the coming two weeks (aka, a fortnight) will see one new challenge unveiled every single day in the 14 Days of Fortnite event, which will also feature new and returning limited time modes (LTMs).
The announcement comes in the latest Fortnite patch notes (version 7.10, which you can read here). 14 Days of Fortnite is in effect as of 14:00 GMT (06:00 Pacific) yesterday. Log in each day at that time to find out which LTMs are available to enjoy – large team modes will change every two days, and small team modes every 24 hours – and which new challenge has unlocked.
Only one challenge is live as of writing, and it’s not really a gameplay challenge at all – you just have to start or join a creative server. Speaking of which, creative mode has had a few additions in the latest patch, including four new winter-themed islands and six new winter village prefabs.
The remaining 13 challenges have yet to be officially revealed, but a dataminer has dug up some code strings that could offer a hint. There’s one string that says ‘play creative mode’, so it looks good so far:

Elsewhere in the 7.10 patch, nerfs to heavy assault rifles’ base accuracy (30%) and accuracy when jumping or falling (60%) mean you should be a little less cavalier when using them. To compensate, they’re 10% more accurate when standing still or aiming down sights.
Ground vehicles will now slide on icy surfaces, and Stormwings are a little less resilient – they take 50% more damage from hitting objects, players inside them will take double the damage when they’re shot down, and they’ll take more damage from ramming structures. Balloon controls have also been improved.

The 7.10 patch is now live following a short delay due to “last-minute issues”, which have presumably now been resolved. If you need any help with the remaining challenges, check back with PCGamesN.
