Gone are the days when a skybox or suite are considered the best seats at a stadium game or concert. When the new Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas officially opens this summer, arguably the most coveted vantage point will be from the party happening at field level.
A first in stadium entertainment, Wynn Resorts is partnering with the Las Vegas Raiders to create Wynn Field Club, which spans the entire length of the north end zone and brings the vibe of the city’s nightclub scene to a unique environment. Just image Wynn Nightlife talent like The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Alesso or Shaquille O’Neal, a.k.a. DJ Diesel, plucked straight from XS and Encore Beach Club, performing at halftime or pre/post-event festivities for around 700 people enjoying bottle service as they would in a club. DJs also can be on display to perform for 65,000 fans in the stadium.
Headliners have yet to be announced, although it is confirmed that WFC will host its first event July 10 as Garth Brooks christens the fully enclosed and climate-controlled stadium—completed in 2020, but yet to host a full capacity event.
“[At] Wynn Field Club, ticketed guests will be able to enjoy a stadium experience that is one-of-a-kind in the sports and entertainment capital of the world,” says Brandon Doll, the Raiders senior vice president, strategy and business development. “Wynn Field Club offers an upgraded high-energy nightlife experience in the center of the action. The nearly 11,000 square foot venue will feature over-the-top access that can only be found in Las Vegas.”
Wynn executives say WFC will have a private entrance with a dedicated VIP Host. When inside at one of the 29 booths or 18 dining tables, expect tiered shellfish towers, pirate ship sushi boats, 40-oz bone-in tomahawk steaks, giant pretzels, chicken tenders and even Raider Nation silver and black nachos. And you just know there’ll be elaborate, themed bottle parades with confetti. On the technology side, there are 42 televisions, a 9-foot by 35-foot LED screen that is just large enough to accommodate the biggest spender’s name in lights, a 45,000-watt sound system and two DJ booths. The sound system has acoustic speakers, amplifiers and processors, in addition to specialized ‘silent’ subwoofers for the on-field booths. Theatrical and architectural lighting by SJ Lighting features 100 fixtures and lasers set in traditional Raiders colors moving light throughout the venue.
The original concept for the club was conceived by the Raiders organization in June 2017 after they visited Wynn Nightlife’s Encore Beach Club, says Pauly Freedman, Wynn’s vice president of nightlife.
Manica Architecture, who designed Allegiant Stadium, created a space for a nightclub within the structure.
“In May 2019, the Raiders issued a request for proposal for hospitality management services to operate the venue and create a one-of-a-kind quality guest experience,” Freedman says. “Wynn Nightlife was awarded the partnership with the Raiders and Allegiant Stadium after a comprehensive, two-year bidding process and will launch the new club concept.”
Wynn Resorts is a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium, the official nightlife partner of the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium, and an official gaming partner of the Raiders.
In addition to Raiders football, Allegiant Stadium will host the Pac-12 Championship Game and the Las Vegas Bowl, as well as concerts from major touring acts, and it serves as the home of UNLV Football. The stadium project is expected to generate an economic benefit of $620 million annually while creating 6,000 permanent jobs in Southern Nevada.
