The escalating presence of cheaters is becoming a major point of contention for the community.
A growing segment of the Arc Raiders player base is voicing frustration over the prevalence of hackers disrupting raids. Among the critics is Nadeshot, a former Call of Duty champion and prominent streamer, who recently shared his experience with the game’s current state.
According to Nadeshot, he frequently finds himself pitted against individuals using suspicious new accounts or those with a documented history of infractions:
The level of cheating in Arc Raiders is absolutely outrageous—it might even be worse than anything I’ve witnessed in Call of Duty. I don’t want to sound overly negative because I know how quickly these clips circulate on social media, but I literally cannot complete a single raid without running into a level-zero Steam account or a profile with multiple previous VAC bans.
Nadeshot argued that the developers of Arc Raiders should adopt the aggressive legal stance taken by Epic Games with Fortnite, targeting both the distributors and the users of illicit software:
There needs to be legitimate legal action against those distributing and using cheats. I know it’s just a video game, and many people might not notice it due to the PvE elements or aggression-based matchmaking, but I feel like I’m in a war zone—I’ve been getting decimated for eight hours a day. Countless hours of farming, crafting, and general time investment are simply being erased in every single raid, over and over again.
