In August 2017, New York’s historic Webster Hall, inbuilt 1868, closed its doorways following a sale to AEG Presents and Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment. The venue’s director of operations, Gerard McNamee, wrote in a statement, “[Webster Hall] will be closed for an undisclosed period of time for demo, reno, and transition to corporate ownership under Barclays/AEG/Bowery Presents.”
Now, it seems that the venue will quickly reopen. On New Year’s Eve, Webster Hall’s social media accounts shared a video merely captioned, “See ya in 2019!” Check it out under.
Specifics in regards to the reopening are at present unclear. The final live performance at Webster Hall previous to its closure was carried out by Action Bronson on August 10, 2017.
