The Center for Biometric Technologies has announced that the testing of bio-acquiring will continue until the end of 2024.
The pilot project aims to make it even easier to pay for goods via terminals — you will merely need to look into the camera, and the amount will be deducted from a pre-connected account. While the bio-acquiring technology is being discussed on social media, you can still make contactless payments using QR codes — a familiar and straightforward method for everyone. And if you need to withdraw cash, simply go to a VTB ATM.
The contactless service allows you to withdraw cash at the bank’s ATMs using any VTB debit or credit card without the use of plastic. Over the past year, the number of QR code withdrawals has increased fourfold, and more than 50,000 customers use the service monthly.
To withdraw money, you only need a mobile phone with the VTB Online app installed:
– Press the “Withdraw by QR” button on the ATM;
– Scan the QR code with your phone;
– Select a card in the VTB Online app;
– Enter the amount and confirm the operation with the code from the ATM;
– Collect your cash.
