GTA 6 Online Insights: No Lobbies, 96 Players per Session, and More
Well, since we’ve started questioning the “insights” from a single source, we should continue to do so to reduce misinformation online. So, the new material allegedly outlines details of the multiplayer mode in GTA 6.
- Codename — GTA6MP.
- The multiplayer was developed with cloud technologies in mind, but the closure of Google Stadia put the concept into question.
- The Fluid Access architecture, still based on the semi-peer-to-peer principle, is technically enhanced.
- One of the main goals is to eliminate endless load times and lobbies to achieve a smoother gaming experience.
- The maximum number of players in a session is 64, but developers are trying to increase it to 96.
Last week, we were presented with information that couldn’t be confirmed as pure speculation, but it seemed similar to such. Now, everything listed here appears more akin to guesses and assumptions (except specific names), which are not too hard to predict. It’s evident that the multiplayer mode in Grand Theft Auto VI will be much more refined than GTA Online, whose success and longevity the creators initially did not foresee, and they did not anticipate the game’s massive scale.
