Third DLC for The Witcher coming in May 2026; Witcher 4 campaign starting soon – analyst

Noble Securities analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski suggests that a third major expansion for The Witcher 3 is slated for release in May 2026, coinciding with the anniversary of The Wild Hunt. Projections indicate that the DLC could move 11 million units at a $30 price point by 2026, supported by a development budget of approximately $14.5 million.

This premiere is expected to serve as the official launchpad for a comprehensive marketing campaign dedicated to The Witcher 4.

Chrzanowski added that the budget for CD Projekt’s other auxiliary projects is estimated at $7.8 million, with the potential to generate $17 million in revenue.

The DLC’s arrival will trigger an 18-month preparation phase for The Witcher 4, the beginning of a new trilogy focused on Ciri. The fourth installment is currently anticipated to debut in the fourth quarter of 2027. Notably, the total projected budget for the trilogy has risen from $585.5 million to $892.16 million when including global marketing expenses.

Furthermore, the report mentions delays for several other titles: Project Sirius and the remake of the original Witcher (Canis Majoris) have been pushed back to 2028, with their combined budget adjusted to $13.94 million. Project Hadar remains in the conceptual stage, with a tentative release window set for 2032.

It is important to highlight that these findings are part of an analytical report based on anonymous industry sources and the author’s personal deductions.
