Epic Games Free Games Rumors Proven 100% Fake

Gamers holding out hope for high-profile freebies like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Slime Rancher 2 are in for a significant letdown.

Last week, a purported Epic Games Store leak began circulating online. The list suggested that daily giveaways would run through December 31, featuring heavy hitters such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Detroit: Become Human, Mortal Kombat 11, and Slime Rancher 2.

However, the actual holiday campaign has told a different story. A week into the festivities, players were expecting Jurassic World: Evolution 2 based on the rumors, but were instead greeted with Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, immediately casting serious doubt on the “leak’s” authenticity.

Shiina, a well-known industry insider recognized for accurate Fortnite leaks and close ties to Epic Games, addressed the growing speculation:

This entire alleged selection of free games is 100% fraudulent and has absolutely no connection to the Epic Games Store’s actual roadmap.
Alleged fake EGS leak

This debunking was further confirmed by Tim Sweeney, the founder and CEO of Epic Games, who validated the statement.
