The developers of Absolum have unveiled a major 1.1 update slated for early 2026. This substantial expansion is set to introduce fresh mechanics for the rebellion and significantly broaden the lore of Talam.
Key Highlights:
- Endgame Trials. Upon conquering the final boss, players will unlock high-stakes challenges with increased difficulty. A new feature will also allow the community to design their own trials and share custom codes via the official Discord or fan-run Reddit channels.
- A Living World. The map will now feature Corrupted Regions, hazardous zones filled with formidable adversaries and rare treasures. Rebels can choose to navigate around these territories or dive in to reap the rewards. The occurrence rate of these regions can be tailored through the new challenge system.
- Elite Mounts. Players will encounter rare, elite mounts equipped with devastating combat abilities to help cleave through enemy ranks. These creatures will serve as powerful allies during long-distance travels across the continent.
- Personalization and Expression. The update introduces a variety of new emotes complete with unique voice lines, alongside exclusive character skins. These can be obtained through the Soul Tree or by achieving specific gameplay milestones, allowing for greater visual and social variety.
