Terraria 1.4.5 Launches This Month Following Years of Delays

Naturally, some are wondering if this is truly the final curtain call for Terraria. Re-Logic has famously labeled the last five major updates as “final,” leading to a running joke within the community. Lead developer Andrew ‘Redigit’ Spinks has leaned into this, previously stating that the game will endure as long as there is “one last final update” on the horizon.

The 1.4.5 update promises plenty of fresh features, including RC cars for zipping across your world, crossover content featuring Dead Cells and Palworld, new whip weapons, unique slime variants, and much more. Even as the game celebrates nearly 15 years of success, the team’s creative well shows no sign of drying up—one of the key reasons this update expanded beyond its original scope.

The massive crossover with Palworld came about after Redigit received a direct message from the team at Pocketpair. As he put it: “Let this be a lesson to always shoot your shot.”
