Team Fortress 2 Update from December 16, 2024

A new update for Team Fortress 2 has been released. Upon restarting the game, the update will automatically apply. Key updates include:

  • Added the missing No Gloves style for the Consigliere’s Coverup
  • Added missing Versus Saxton Hale kill icons
  • Included additional tournament medals
  • Resolved overlapping issues of Taunt: Curtain Call voice lines with other Spy voice lines
  • Fixed incorrect movement of the Playful Aurora and Frisky Morning Unusual effects
  • Updated timing issues in the Aurora Skies Unusual effect
  • Corrected material issues with the Necroprancer
  • Addressed material issues with the Dusk Duster
  • Revised the Dapper Noel
    • Remodeled the normal map for OpenGL compatibility
    • Re-baked Diffuse and updated backpack icon to reflect these changes
    • Eliminated misplaced ambient occlusion
    • Fixed problematic face flexes
    • Resolved an issue with the Engineer’s beard protruding through his goggles
    • Fixed disabled jigglebones
    • Made Sniper’s hat compatible with his melee taunt
  • Updated Scrooge McDoc
    • Lenses properly rigged to the correct bone (prp_glasses instead of bip_head) for taunt compatibility
    • Enhanced scarf rigging and positioning for better integration with shirt cosmetics
    • Refreshed backpack icon
  • Enhanced koth_overcast_final
    • Fixed model and material issues
    • Reintroduced snow coverings using displacements on some props
    • Corrected misaligned textures in various areas
    • Rectified lighting issue on a wall in the blue spawn
    • Fixed improper display of the ‘Hotel’ sign
    • Re-added indicators under certain health and ammo kits
  • Refined cp_fortezza
    • Removed the sniper window leading into the last section
    • Prevented Engineers from constructing in certain doorways
    • Addressed solidity issues of certain props
    • Minor art updates
  • Updated vsh_maul
    • Prohibited players from hiding from Saxton in the dark
    • Resolved overlapping of props
    • Fixed z-fighting issues with brushes
    • Repaired missing particle effects for the water feature
    • Adjusted orientation of water feature particles
    • Made minor lighting adjustments around the cinema
    • Modified LOD change distances for the Cinema sign
    • Updated VSH logic
    • Grounded floating props
    • Aligned improperly aligned textures
    • Fixed walls with incorrect textures
    • Clipped upper metal beams
    • Fixed clipping brushes projecting from walkable walls
    • Players will now be pushed off the fire bell
    • Adjusted the cinema sign shadow
    • Applied spell check to the Saxton’s Package sign
    • Updated the method for activating and deactivating music
    • Fixed clipping on hanging large ornaments
