A Team Fortress 2 update has been released and will install automatically the next time you restart the game. Highlights include:
Happy Smissmas 2025!
- Everyone who logs into TF2 during the event will receive a Stuffed Stocking — festive loot for deserving Mercenaries.
- Six new community maps: Nutcracker, Sidewinder, Abbey, Winter Ridge, Matterhorn, and Gavle (pronounced yeah-vleh).
- Added the Winter 2025 Cosmetic Case:
- Includes 23 new community-contributed cosmetic items.
- The Festivizer can appear as a bonus drop when opening the case.
- Three new community-contributed taunts added to the Mann Co. Store:
- Taunt: The Critical Fail
- Taunt: Dead Mann’s Drink
- Taunt: Chairholder
- Twenty new community-created Unusual effects:
- 11 new effects for Unusual hats.
- 9 new effects for Unusual taunts.
- Numerous weapons have been added to the list that can be Festivized (community-created variants).
- New community-made Smissmas materials for the Beach Ball have been added.
- During the event, cosmetic and taunt cases will award Smissmas 2025 Unusual effects instead of their regular effects; crates are excluded.
- The Mann Co. Store winter sale is active.
- Smissmas runs through January 7, 2026.
