Case Solved. On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the full version of the interview with Ned Luke and Sean Fonteno was still released. At first, it might seem that the authors are deliberately stirring up interest by removing short promotional passages. But everything turned out to be more prosaic – there were some problems with the sponsor. That is why in the end we see a lot of blurred inscriptions.
- Pro GTA 6 they don’t know anything. expected.
- Sean Fonteno, Young Maylay’s cousin who voiced CJ for GTA: San Andreasgot to the developers thanks to his friend DJ Pooh (he has been collaborating with R * for about 20 years, since the days of San Andreas, and even appeared in GTA Online). At the first stage of the casting, the then still defective actor got acquainted with the text, but did not adhere to it, improvising. By the way, in the early stages, Franklin’s name was Deshawn. But this almost certainly has nothing to do with the beta version of the game, but more to do with being careful that real plot details aren’t leaked ahead of time.
- Ned Luke initially did not want to participate in the creation of a video game and did not even understand who they were talking about when they said that these were tryouts for Rockstar Games. But when he heard that these were the creators of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, which he himself went through, he agreed to get acquainted with the material – he liked it. Then there were runs of dialogues with colleagues who also claimed the roles of Michael and Trevor, but paired with Stephen Ogg, Ned realized that the game developers had found those they were looking for – the necessary chemistry occurred between the alleged M and T.
- Stephen himself is considered eccentric by his partners – he walked in underwear, called the rest “darlings”, ate dinners for hippies. And in general, at the same time he looks like Trevor, and not. Curiously, he is the only one of the trio who strictly adhered to the dialogue from the script. But Ned believes that this made sense: Fonteno and Luke could paraphrase something, speak in their own language (and the language of the streets is familiar to the first), but Ogg needed to embody exactly what the authors put in Mr. Phillips.
- For Sean Fonteno, the project was called Paradise (“Paradise”), and for Ned Luke – Rush (“Peak”, although there may be much more translation options). The second on the very first day at the studio realized that he would play a role in gta 5. But Solo almost left on the first day of motion capture – he did not know that he would have to do this, and at that time, as he puts it, he was out of shape (photo of that period), but the team persuaded him.
- Is everything so strict that the actors themselves did not know until the very end what they would have to do? Yes, the non-disclosure agreement with GTA copyright holders is a very serious thing. The same Fonteno, who had to constantly dangle from his home in Los Angeles to work in New York, kept secret what he was working on, even from his own children – only his wife knew.
- One day, when the trio and a few of their colleagues were being taken to the studio, the bus had a minor accident. The driver fell asleep at the wheel, but there were no casualties or bad consequences.
- Work on the game as a whole took the actors a little more than three years. The time spent in the recording booth is estimated at 104 hours. Apparently, for everyone, because this is not so much – only 13 eight-hour working days.
- After the release of the first trailer, when recognized Ned in the character, his phone began to burst with messages and notifications. Now both are still often recognized on the streets. The youngest fan who came up was 8 (hello parent/guardian compliance with age ratings!).
- Fonteno made a small announcement – he plans to join the RP community by partnering with well-known players in the RolePlay world and launching a server called Franklin’s World. For our part, we only recall that Take-Two reserved the right to intervene in the activities of projects of this kind.
- As you can see, Ned and Sean developed a real friendship – they are often seen together.
- According to Luke, Fonteno’s wife makes “great tacos.”
