IFixit specialists dismantled the iPad Pro (M4) and Apple Pencil Pro
With the iPad, Apple has started to simplify repairs: now, to get to the battery, you don’t have to remove all the main components of the tablet. This is likely due to European legislation requiring a reduction in carbon footprint and providing users the ability to perform repairs themselves or at unauthorized service centers.
No miracles happened with the Apple Pencil Pro. The stylus is impossible to dismantle without damage: the casing had to be cut along. It is very difficult to get to the battery, but the iFixit specialist showed a new Taptic Engine motor used for haptic feedback.
