Rumor: Sony and Microsoft drastically reducing console production
The Taiwanese edition Businesstoday, citing sources in the supply chain, reports that due to low demand for consoles during the Christmas season, Sony has notified suppliers about reducing the production of PlayStation 5 in the first quarter of 2024 from one million units to 500,000 per month.
Microsoft, on the other hand, according to rumors, will completely stop production of Xbox Series X|S in the first quarter, in order to clear out existing inventory.
