Rumor: Sony is preparing a new genuine portable console
According to gaming journalist Anton Logvinov, Sony is developing a handheld console capable of running games on its own hardware. However, the launch lineup will only include PS4 games already available on PC and, hence, on Steam Deck. This could suggest that the console will run on Windows or another operating system that can launch Windows games through a compatibility layer.
Previously, Logvinov was one of the first to accurately predict that Sony would port their exclusives to PC.
Launch dates remain unknown, but, according to sources, retailers are skeptical about the new product.
