Rumor: iOS 18 and macOS 15 will bring “Web Eraser” and other artificial intelligence-based functions to Safari
As reported by Marco Živković from Apple Insider, the eraser feature will allow users to remove specific elements from a webpage, including ads. Moreover, Safari will “remember” these changes and apply them every time the same page is visited.
Additionally, a new address bar will appear in Safari, which will “combine old and new page control tools,” one of which will be “Smart Search”. This feature will allow for a brief description of the page.
Other details are currently unknown. Apple will officially introduce the new Safari features along with the next versions of its operating systems on June 10 at the WWDC 24 conference.
