Fresh footage of Mohist: Dengling Hill has emerged online, immediately capturing the attention of hardcore action enthusiasts. This project from Yunuo Interactive presents itself as a compelling fusion of Sekiro-style tactical combat and the grand historical aesthetic seen in Ghost of Tsushima.
Players step into the role of a Mohist disciple during the twilight of the Qin Dynasty, navigating a world plunged into absolute turmoil.
The developers originally envisioned an ARPG experience spanning roughly 20 hours—a project intended to be the ultimate realization of their “wuxia” world vision. While the current demo remains unpolished, it highlights the impressive amount of work completed by such a small team. This material is the result of a year of development and showcases the creators’ gritty, realistic take on Chinese history and martial arts philosophy.
Alongside the demonstration, however, the studio shared some sobering news. They admitted that as a small, fledgling team, they simply lack the necessary resources to bring such an ambitious undertaking to its full potential at this time.
Consequently, development on Mohist: Dengling Hill has been temporarily suspended. The team will now pivot to a more compact project that can be successfully completed within their current means, while leaving the door open for a potential return to this world in the future.
