It appears that fans of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may soon have a compelling reason to embark on another journey with Geralt of Rivia.
Last year, Polish industry insider and journalist Borys Nieśpielak sparked excitement by claiming that CD Projekt RED was in the process of developing a brand-new expansion for the acclaimed title.
Recently, Nieśpielak followed up on these claims in a correspondence with Eurogamer. He asserted that his initial information has since been corroborated by several independent sources within the industry.
While the insider refrained from disclosing specific plot details or mechanics for the rumored DLC, he pointed toward a subtle hint dropped during a CDPR investor meeting—noting his surprise that such a revelation had largely been overlooked by the public.
Specifically, CFO Piotr Nielubowicz made a brief but telling reference to “new content”:
[…] Based on our current development pace, there is a distinct possibility that the new content referenced in previous conference calls and financial reports could be released in the coming [2026] year. This would likely impact our fiscal performance and bolster the chances of reaching our revenue targets for the initial phase of the incentive program.
When approached by Eurogamer for clarification, CD Projekt RED gave its characteristically guarded response, stating that the studio “does not comment on rumors or speculation.”
