Crimson Desert Receives Massive Expansion Featuring Underwater World, Weddings, and New Bosses
Players can now build and purchase sailing ships, dive for treasure, rent buildings, and marry NPCs.
Crimson Desert has received a major expansion titled Journey into the Unknown, adding an underwater world, new islands, story quests, house building, marriages, and additional challenges.
Update 2.04.00 expands the Pywel map with the ocean and uncharted islands. Players can build and buy sailing ships, engage in maritime trade, dive for treasures, and use underwater transport. The update also adds one personal quest each for Cliff, Oongka, and Damiana.
The housing system now features free placement construction, and players can rent buildings and manage businesses. It is also possible to develop relationships with NPCs, get married, and travel together with a spouse. Other additions include ten enemy groups in the Garden of Trials, new bosses, gear, a dice mini-game, and barber shops in major cities.
The developers also added household items that can be used in combat and enabled separate selection options for upscaling and frame generation technologies. For example, players can now combine NVIDIA DLSS with AMD FSR Frame Generation.
