Resident Evil Infinite Darkness will therefore land on Netflix on July 8 for all subscribers of the famous film service. As a reminder, we will follow a canonical story (which is therefore officially part of the entire official history of video games) where Leon and Claire will have to counter a new epidemic. The first will notably be at the White House: it will all take place in 2006, two years after the cult story of Resident Evil 4.
This is not the first time that Capcom has given carte blanche for Resident Evil animated films: we had already had the opus Degeneration in 2008, which took place in an airport with Jill Valentine, then Damnation in 2012, which made the bridge between Resident Evil 5 and 6. With Infinite Darkness, we will thus have the opportunity to watch a whole trilogy in synthetic images. Why not: let’s keep our fingers crossed that it is not a cold shower.
