The doors at Godolkin University have officially closed. The Boys spin-off Gen V has been scrapped after two seasons, though the story of its superhuman students is far from over. While the narrative threads will weave into the fifth and final season of The Boys, the campus alumni have yet to make an appearance as we approach the season’s halfway point.

“While our time at Godolkin has come to an end, we remain fully committed to continuing the arcs of these Gen V characters within the final season of The Boys and future installments of the VCU,” executive producers Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg noted in an official statement. “You haven’t seen the last of them.”

Beyond the main show, the franchise is looking toward the future with Vought Rising—a 1950s-era prequel—and the long-gestating The Boys: Mexico, which remains in the early stages of development.

The sophomore season of Gen V concluded with Marie Moreau and her cohort aligning with Starlight’s resistance movement against Vought International and Homelander. Though they haven’t been featured in the current season’s initial episodes, characters like Starlight and A-Train have alluded to their ongoing covert efforts.

Despite speculation that Marie’s unique blood-manipulation abilities could serve as the ultimate weapon against Homelander, Kripke has tempered those expectations.

“Anyone expecting Marie Moreau to emerge as the pivotal savior in this season of The Boys will likely be left wanting,” Kripke explained to Polygon. “It isn’t her narrative arc; she has her own story. In this iteration, the core cast of The Boys remains the primary focus.”

The saga continues as fans await the arrival of the Godolkin crew in the flagship series. New episodes of The Boys season 5 drop Wednesdays on Prime Video, building toward an explosive series finale on May 20.
