Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Reportedly to Feature Bayonetta, Evangelion, and Final Fantasy VII Remake Characters
Sega has unveiled its plans for the second year of content support for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, adding characters from Bayonetta, Evangelion, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Persona, alongside Godzilla and Sanrio figures.
The second year of content support for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds begins on November 3, 2026. The game will introduce a Duel mode for one-on-one races, a Rival Duel Match mode for offline races against AI-controlled opponents, and a Friend Match mode for online matches. Sega will also improve the gadget system.
Bayonetta will be added to the game on November 3, alongside the release of the Godzilla Pack, which features vehicles and a track based on the franchise. A McLaren Racing collaboration featuring a new vehicle will arrive in late November, and Aegis from Persona will join the races in 2027.
The Evangelion Pack is scheduled for release in January 2027, bringing the Tokyo-3 track, pilots Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Soryu, and the EVA-01, EVA-00, and EVA-02 robots.
A Sanrio pack featuring Hello Kitty, Kuromi, their vehicles, and a new track will launch in the second quarter of 2027. Add-ons based on Final Fantasy VII Remake and Persona are expected in the second half of the year.
