About this game
When rally comes down to grip, terrain, and the co-driver’s pace, you want a simulator that doesn’t smooth over mistakes. Here, you feel the car’s weight, inertia, and the cost of an extra centimeter on the shoulder. Real special stages, variable weather, and setup work await you right from the start.
Designed as a separate branch of the Assetto Corsa series, this project offers a concentrated rally driving experience in Early Access on PC: the gravel roads of Wales, the asphalt of Alsace, and online leaderboards for Time Attack runs. The launch version features 10 licensed cars and 4 special stages with variations, so progress is felt not by the quantity of content, but by how consistently you complete the same section.
If physics, the precise behavior of FWD, RWD, and AWD, and honest force feedback from the wheel are important to you, this is a case where results are born from discipline. Beginners will be aided by assists, while experienced drivers will value the ability to fine-tune the setup for the surface, temperature, and driving style.
- Rally Physics & Grip: Adapted Assetto Corsa physics engine, suspension and differential tuning, tire model evolution, and noticeable influence of temperature, humidity, and water on grip levels.
- Laser-Scanned Stages: Special stages and terrain elements are created via LaserScan, so road profiles, bumps, and elevation changes are perceived as real landmarks, not just decorations.
- Surfaces & Conditions: Asphalt and gravel, dynamic weather, and time of day changes. Snow, ice, studded tires, and the Livigno Ice Circuit training ground for low-grip practice were recently added.
- Starting Car List: A mix of classics and modern machines, from legends like the Lancia Stratos and Citroën Xsara WRC to fresher classes, such as the Hyundai i20N Rally2 and Peugeot 208 Rally4.
- Damage & Environment: A physical damage model affects car behavior, meaning impacts with logs and braking errors have real consequences.

The current Early Access version is suitable for those who want to follow the project’s development and participate in feedback. The developers plan to expand the list of stages and cars, and add a rally school, new modes, and a career.
Download Assetto Corsa Rally here and start with a short special stage in Free Practice. Spend 5 minutes on steering sensitivity or controller setup, check the pacenotes, and only then head into Time Attack or events. This is how the game reveals itself most accurately.

Reviews
Really good rally sim imho. The only real gripe I have is that the historical cars have modern tires fitted, they really should at least have the appearance of the old fat ass tires like they used to run.
One of my favorite features on this game is the tally kept of how far you have driven in the game, super awesome.
Ready for some new content though, there’s only like 12 cars lol
I just wanted to take a moment to send a message of appreciation. The game is genuinely very good, and it clearly shows the amount of work, passion, and talent behind it. What has already been built is solid and well done, and it deserves recognition.
Please don’t let negativity, haters, or harsh comments distract you from the bigger picture. Every ambitious project attracts noise, but quality always speaks louder in the long run. What is already there proves that you are on the right path.
Believe in your vision and in the excellent work you’ve done so far. Many of us truly appreciate it and are enjoying the experience you are creating. Keep going — you’re doing a great job.
At first I didn’t like this game because it is realistic and unforgiving but after playing it little bit more, it is a very promising racing game in early access, very realistic and tough to play, but still lots of fun, I love the graphics and attention to detail, a part of me can vision this game being a bit like Colin McRae DiRT 1 and 2 in modern time.
It is awesome that the game gets regular updates and the developers seem very hard at work to make it better. I will admit I always play racing games with a controller, I would love a steering wheel and I bet in a game like this it would be amazing, but sadly I don’t have one, love that it works on the Steam deck though:) Anyway I think in time Assetto Corsa Rally could be a really good awesome game and I will always look forward to future updates and hopefully the game gets more cars and new tracks:)
I come from playing the Dirt Rally series and this game is definitely harder and more realistic and that’s saying a lot. That said, I would recommend it to anyone feeling the itch for a good rally car racing game.
The graphics are insanely good and car handling is challenging, but fun to learn. I am playing on controller, and it seems a lot of people play with a wheel. That’s up to your discretion, but I have never been one to immerse myself in that way and have always been satisfied with playing racing games with controller. It is a bit touchy and takes some getting used to.
With it being early access, there are very few maps and only a handful of cars (10 currently). The customization is also limited only to the performance of you car. So there are no aesthetic choices for your car which I suppose is fine because that doesn’t seem to be the focus of this game.
Anyways, if you like challenging rally racing games, give this one a go. Looks great and plays great.
I’ve only ever played this game with the Xbox controller. Initially, I absolutely hated it, as I was spending more time in the trees than on the road and was ready to ask for a refund. I decided to read a few reviews on here and saw comments saying that other people had similar experiences with the Xbox controller. Then I watched a YouTube video showing a guy playing with the same controller who was having a blast. So I decided to commit…
Firstly, I changed the input settings:
Settings → Inputs → Device Settings → Gamepad
Steering Linearity: 0.6
Steering Deadzone at Centre: 20
Then I gave it more time, and I’m so glad that I did. I went to the stages with the Mini Cooper, as I’d heard this was a good place to start. After a few hours of play, I started to get the knack of it and could actually finish a stage, getting a Bronze time. Now, with a bit of practice, I can consistently get Silver times, and I’ve even got one Gold so far. Honestly, I absolutely love the game now.
