About This Game
The job of a superhero dispatcher in Los Angeles looks like an office routine until the next call comes in. In Dispatch, former hero Robert Robertson, known as Mecha Man, repairs his broken suit while simultaneously managing the rehabilitation of a team of former supervillains.
The plot is presented as an adult animated series. You can expect fast paced dialogues, awkward office scenes, bursts of action, and decisions that change relationships with the characters and how the city survives the shift. Between conversations, you open the incident map and decide who to send to the call, risking reputation, resources, and time.
All episodes are currently available, so the story is convenient to play through without pauses. If you want a plot where decisions change the tone of communication and mission outcomes, you can download Dispatch and start at your own pace.
Below are the things that usually determine whether Dispatch will appeal to you. There are map tactics, plenty of conversations, and team leveling. The list makes it easier to understand how much time is spent on missions and office scenes.
- Narrative Interactivity: dialogues, line choices, and scenes where nuances of tone matter, not just right or wrong.
- Dispatch Map and Calls: you see incidents in the city and decide who to send based on the situation description and team skills.
- Team Management: each hero has traits, weaknesses, and baggage that must be considered so the team does not fall apart.
- Leveling and Roster Growth: improve skills and unlock abilities to more successfully complete difficult shifts and rare events.
- Mature Tone: humor, romance, and edgy themes go hand in hand, so the age rating is high, and the presentation resembles a series for a mature audience.
- Seasonal Format: the story is gathered into eight episodes, making it convenient to play them consecutively or one episode per evening.
- Famous Voice Cast: voices include Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, and Jeffrey Wright, plus guest creators and streamers.
- The voiceover is in English, but the interface and subtitles are translated into Russian, so the plot can be completed without knowing English.
- Direction and Animation are stronger than in many Telltale style games of past years, making scenes feel more alive.

Reviews
PHENOMENAL
Get sucker punched in the throat by a plot that puts you in the drivers seat of your own discomfort. Immerse yourself in a super story and kiss some sweet ass or screw with the characters to watch them expose themselves for who they really are. The story was well written, the game interaction was the perfect mental break from the drama, and characters were… Well… HOT. Highly recommend. It took me a little over 7 hours with breaks to complete one run through.
I finished the game today. It’s been a long time since I played Telltale-style games, and honestly, I missed this genre. Besides TWD, I don’t remember another game in this genre being this popular; the influence of the streamers and Aaron Paul really seems to have helped, but the game itself is quite good.
Here are the pros and cons for me:
PROS:
+ Cute Graphics
+ Memorable Characters
+ Amazing Musics
+ Great Voice Actors
+ Interessing story
+ Good Humor
+ Great Depression Theme (Lot’s of game struggle to do it successfully)
+ BEEF!!
CONS:
– Some options exist simply for the sake of having options. I know that it is hard to make consequences for each option (like Detroit Become Human did) but at least make it less obvious
– Interactions are so lame, literally they are just there but no consequences
I know that budget was low so I’m okay with those cons. Game is pretty solid. Absolutely worth to buy full price. KEEP UP!!
Really quite good. Well written story, very well voice acted, great art direction.
Very reminiscent of the better Telltale games like Tales from the Borderlands or The Wolf Among Us.
What? “From the writers & directors of Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us.”
Checks out.
Only thing I can think to complain about is that the QTEs just felt kind of off, though I can see why they were included. They do give you the option to just disable them at the beginning.
High recommend.
Dispatch is a breath of a fresh air for superhero story. Although it is kinda silly, the plot of the game is really engaging thanks to its stellar casting. The core gameplay of Dispatch is just your usual “Telltale” games choose your own story mechanic but they added a great dispatching minigame in every episode. It is addicting and kinda deep with its own secret interaction and dialogue if you chose the right character.
8/10
One of the best games in recent times.
If you like a good storyline and QTE, then this game is for you.
The game is addictive from the very beginning and can be played in one sitting. The characters are diverse and all have interesting backstories. The game features humor and the development of relationships with girls.
