Porsche has introduced its fastest electric car – Taycan Turbo GT
The electric sports car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds, and the top speed is 305 km/h. It’s also the most powerful production Porsche in history, not only among electrics – 1108 hp.
For comparison, the fastest Tesla Model S Plaid accelerates to 100 km/h in 1.99 sec according to the brochure, and the electric car can reach a maximum of 320 km/h.
Tests have already shown that in reality, the Plaid can’t achieve the 1.99 sec result, and Porsche is famous for usually publishing the worst acceleration result as official, so in reality, the Taycan Turbo GT could be faster.
And the race results are hinting at this: a driver in a Porsche Taycan Turbo GT set a time record amongst electric cars on the Laguna Seca track, showing a result of 1 minute 27.87 seconds. The previous record was held by the Tesla Model S Plaid – 1 min 28.213 sec.
Sales of the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT will start in the summer. Prices starting at €240 000 (~23.8 million rubles).
