PlayStation 5 — Sony’s Most Profitable Console Generation
Sony, in its business presentation, reports that the PlayStation 5 has generated $106 billion since its launch, surpassing all previous consoles over a similar timeframe.
For example, the PlayStation 4 earned $107 billion in seven years, while the PS5 has achieved a similar result in just four years.
Currently, Sony makes $731 from each PS5 console through games, subscriptions, microtransactions, and accessories. This is a 26% increase compared to the previous console generation.
