Pitchfork is proud to announce the launch of Levels, a brand new part devoted completely to hip-hop music and tradition. Levels will publish day by day and have longform investigative journalism, assume items, and artist profiles. It will even curate “The Ones,” a day by day playlist of important hip-hop songs, which is out there now on Pitchfork’s Spotify account. Levels can also be on Instagram.
Senior editor Timmhotep Aku, who joined Pitchfork in May, is heading up Levels, and he’ll be working with workers author Alphonse Pierre.
Levels will study broad themes throughout hip-hop, and the inaugural theme is household. Read the inaugural letter from the editor from Timmhotep Aku. The launch of Levels is supported by Rémy Martin.
