Her gameplay kit revolves around theatrical flair. Her ability “Light Eater” involves a breath-fueled ignition of her baton, coating enemies in flames and increasing the damage they take. This is complemented by “Dazzling Trick,” a prismatic shield that detonates to silence anyone in the vicinity. Those currently in the Deadlock playtest can now jump in as this unicorn-horned carny.
Beyond her abilities, players have noted that Celeste’s lore solidifies Drummond’s earlier “leak.” Her backstory explicitly mentions her “found family,” which consists of Keruba the mermaid, Blockhead Lenny, and yes—Ted and Chickenwing. It turns out the names the community laughed off were part of the plan all along.
With Chickenwing now validated, fans are keeping a close eye out for Abrams Jr. to see if Drummond was batting a thousand with his Discord hints.
Deadlock has seemingly struck gold again with Celeste. The unicorn-horned performer is already making waves in the community, with some fans warning that her “bhopping” mobility is so potent it might require an immediate nerf from Valve.
