No Man’s Sky Update – version 5.11

Hello Everyone,

Thanks to all players of the No Man’s Sky Aquarius update, especially those reporting issues through Zendesk or console crash reports. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’ve addressed several bugs and improvements in Patch 5.11, now live on all platforms.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Fishing Enhancements: Players are now notified of new record catches, and those fishing are marked as Busy to avoid group invites. Improvements include better visibility of fishing lines in various lighting conditions, refined release effects when returning fish to the water, and improved fishing float accuracy in rough seas.
  • Exo-Skiff and VR Adjustments: Fixed issues making it difficult to summon the Exo-Skiff in VR, and enhanced its interaction in choppy water. Specialist bait can now be stored in the Exo-Skiff’s cold storage.
  • Nutrient Processor Fixes: Resolved an issue that blocked quick access to stored items while cooking and improved the user interface for smoother item selection.
  • Graphics and Audio Corrections: Fixed visual glitches, such as fish occasionally swimming above the water, and improved wave audio sync near shorelines. Minor audio bugs during fishing have also been addressed.
  • Mission Updates: Objectives for certain expedition missions have been clarified, and catch rates for specific mission items have been adjusted.
  • Freighter and Starship Fixes: Fixed a rare bug that could reset player freighters during warping and corrected issues causing resources to vanish from Freighter Refiner Rooms. Improved UI for freighter customization and addressed minor visual issues with Hauler-class starships.
  • Stability Improvements: Implemented memory optimizations and fixed rare crashes related to AI starship behavior, creature navigation, and teleporting to water planets. Resolved crashes affecting large save files and starship handling.

We appreciate your ongoing support and feedback. Happy exploring, Travellers!
