Several pieces of news about the Apple Vision Pro battery:
• As it turns out, the power cable can actually be detached from the battery using an iPhone sim-tray ejector pin.
• The cable connector resembles an enlarged Lighting connector with twelve pins instead of eight.
• The Apple Vision Pro battery does not support hot swapping. If you disconnect the battery, the headset will instantly turn off. A reboot is necessary before replacement.
• The headset’s battery has a capacity of 3166 mAh. For comparison, the iPhone 15 Pro has a battery capacity of 3274 mAh, but the Vision Pro has a different voltage, so the batteries cannot be directly compared. Due to the non-standard voltage, the headset’s battery supports charging with power adapters that use the Power Delivery 3.1 protocol only.
