LSS Patch 3 (v1.3.5) — Changelog

This update delivers improved modding support, enhanced compatibility for Steam Deck, and a broad set of fixes across gameplay, visuals, audio and multiplayer systems.

Gameplay

Engineering — Base game changes

  • Refined Steam Deck support to improve performance and usability on handheld devices.
  • Expanded modding capabilities:
    • Allow mods to persistently store objects tied to the game instance.
    • Enable the VO_MOD directory to fully override character voiceovers and subtitle files.
    • Corrected an issue forcing doors to use the default door data table.
    • Restored missing tags and properties for modded blueprints so they properly register with the loadout manager.
    • Fixed mod actor spawn information failing to spawn actors on the first main menu load.

Visuals

Animation

Enhanced first-person camera positioning for all arrest animations to create smoother transitions when initiating and completing interactions.

Character Art

Fixed helmet deformation so SWAT head models now animate correctly when chin straps are equipped.


Bug Fixes

AI

  • Resolved cases where suspects and civilians could become stuck outside level boundaries.
  • Prevented flashbangs from registering as friendly fire when they affect SWAT AI.
  • Fixed certain orders that were ignored if the player looked skyward while issuing them.
  • Stopped shotgun-wielding suspects from repeatedly drawing ammo from caches.

UI

  • Addressed the need to close and reopen the public lobby search to restart matchmaking.
  • Fixed navigation issues in the customization menu when using a gamepad.
  • Ensured friends list populates correctly even if the options menu is opened before EOS authentication completes.
  • Corrected cross-platform friend icon inconsistencies.
  • Made EOS overlay reliably capture gamepad input while open.
  • Restored visibility of “Leader” text for clients in the lobby manager.
  • Fixed missing platform icons on Steam.
  • Added missing localization strings to the public matchmaking region selector.
  • Fixed tooltip rendering in the options menu (tiny box at the screen edge).
  • Restored the reticle when using the list command menu on gamepad.
  • Fixed a UI problem when queueing a fall-in command.
  • Resolved issue where the right shoulder button was always shown as modified in Item & Command Menu settings.
  • Prevented PS5 gamepad UI elements from appearing while using a PS4 controller.

Customization

  • Corrected footwear assignment so Salmon 4D GTX boots appear on the proper feet.

Audio

  • Fixed repeated casing-bounce sounds at low frame rates.
  • Resolved SWAT reload audio breaking when reloading while stunned.
  • Ensured gas masks properly muffle character voices.

Animation

  • Fixed animation glitches when pepper-spraying restrained suspects or civilians.
  • Eliminated FOV popping after arrest animations.
  • Made helmet chin straps animate with SWAT jaw movement.
  • Fixed third-person reload animation for SWAT when reloading while stunned.

Various map-specific fixes and LOD corrections:

  • Removed several black artifacts across the map.
  • Addressed multiple LOD issues.

  • Fixed pillar LOD artifact.

  • Removed a black artifact affecting visuals.

Twisted Nerve

  • Fixed missing navigation mesh in a few locations.

A Lethal Obsession

  • Resolved players becoming entangled with one another immediately after spawning.
  • Fixed barrel LOD display issues.

Ides of March

  • Prevented out-of-bounds warnings from appearing while still in-bounds.

Greased Palms

  • Removed black artifacts and addressed multiple LOD problems.

Valley of the Dolls

  • Removed several black artifacts throughout the level.

Ridgeline

  • Fixed a spawn issue that allowed players to become stuck inside each other.

Rust Belt

  • Restored missing optiwand prompt on a door.
  • Fixed multiple LOD-related issues.

Buy Cheap, Buy Twice

  • Fixed navigation problems caused by glass walls in a specific area.

Carriers of the Vine

  • Removed black artifacts in several spots.
  • Fixed suspects getting stuck in the courtyard rat hole.

Coyote

  • Corrected optiwand behavior when interacting with a particular door.

Relapse

  • Removed black artifacts in multiple locations.

Hide and Seek

  • Repaired a missing wall.
  • Fixed impenetrable metal window grids.
  • Addressed several LOD problems.

Dorms

  • Corrected a typo in the mission summary.
  • Fixed incorrect double-door setups across the level.

Narcos

  • Repaired a small mesh issue around roof trim on one house.

Leviathan

  • Fixed a texture merge problem on a wall.
  • Addressed multiple LOD anomalies.

Stolen Valor

  • Corrected audio transitions that were using incorrect sounds.

Miscellaneous Fixes

  • Prevented weapon flashlights from becoming detached in mid-air.
  • Fixed free-lean canceling unintentionally when colliding with certain meshes at specific angles.
  • Stopped a scenario where flashbanging a client who then disconnects could register as a team kill.
  • Resolved a multiplayer crash when the host closes a lobby while a client is joining.
  • Fixed several rare crashes: exploding doors, death animations, and physics-related edge cases.
  • Addressed ADS speed modifiers not applying correctly for different grips.
  • Fixed progression issues for the “Getting Your Sea Legs” and “From House to Home” achievements.
  • Corrected the team leader indicator occasionally appearing on the wrong player in multiplayer.
  • Fixed inconsistent team color assignment in multiplayer matches.
  • Addressed a rare crash triggered by shooting certain surfaces with a shotgun.

Known Issues

  • Steam Deck users may find that the graphics preset for Steam Deck is not selected by default.
